Computers and Technology

BU Law’s Systems & Technology (SysTech) Office oversees support and administration of computer labs and their related peripherals (printers and scanners) and the design, configuration and delivery of secure Ethernet and wireless networks. They provide personalized consulting and support and manage all aspects of the building’s networking framework. Through the implementation of VPN and wireless access points at BU Law, SysTech remains in the forefront at providing the most advanced Local Area Network systems on college campuses today.

BU Law Computing Resources

BU Law has four computer labs for law student usage. Labs are staffed with students trained to answer questions about the lab computers and printing options. Also available are catalog and kiosk computers dedicated to fast searches of library materials.

Computers offer Windows 7, Office 2007, and Internet access which enables authenticated access to LEXIS and WESTLAW search Web sites. Labs are equipped with both MyPrint and copy card laser printers. The School also offers three high capacity scanners which support scanned images to be emailed or saved to a USB drive.

Students at Boston University also have free access to a wide variety of computing resources through the University's Information Services & Technology Office.
