Computers and Technology

BU Law’s Office of Systems & Technology (SysTech) oversees support and administration of computer labs and their related peripherals (printers and scanners) and the design, configuration and delivery of secure Ethernet and wireless networks. They provide personalized consulting and support and manage all aspects of the building’s networking framework. Through the implementation of VPN and wireless access points at BU Law, SysTech remains in the forefront at providing the most advanced Local Area Network systems on college campuses today.

Admitted Students

BU Law's BU Law Library contains one of the largest law school research collections in the United States. Students have access to more than 650,000 volumes and microform equivalents including federal and state primary materials, legal periodicals and a collection of treatises.

Four computer labs house 75 Intel Core 2 Duo workstations that are connected to the Internet and to laser printers. A wireless network is available throughout the law school for students with laptops. All first-year students receive free e-mail, LEXIS and WESTLAW accounts.

Students at Boston University also have free access to a wide variety of computing resources through the University's Office of Information Technology and Personal Computing Support Center.
