Career Advising and Resources
As a BU Law student, you can receive individual career advice designed to help you achieve your professional goals. All of our career advisors are experienced attorneys with diverse backgrounds who will coach you on your career plans, no matter your area of interest.
The Career Development & Public Service Office (CDO) team can help you identify your career goals, learn how to approach a job search and take advantage of the many resources available to you, inside and outside the School. Through advising appointments, you'll learn about employment, internships and pro bono opportunities in private law firms, corporations, government, nonprofit organizations, judicial clerkships and fellowships. The CDO’s online appointment system is available 24/7/365, allowing you to make appointments easily with the counselor of your choice at a time that's convenient for you.
CDO advisors will not only help you search for your first job—they'll also help you gain a long-term perspective on managing your career. After graduation the CDO is available to provide resources for your life-long career development as well.
