Students may borrow through federal and/or private loan sources to finance their educational expenses.

Tip: The Law Financial Aid Office strongly suggests that student borrow the maximum amount of Federal Direct Stafford Loans that they are eligible to receive before turning to the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan or a private loan. Please contact our office if you are unsure of your eligibility.

Submit the following materials:

 

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    1. Boston University Federal School Code - 002130
    2. ALL graduate students are considered independent for federal loan purposes. The parental sections of the FAFSA do not need to be completed.

 

Direct Loan Processing Request Form
 This form should only submitted by students who have currently enrolled in or intend to enroll in classes at BU Law.

 

Entrance Counseling – to be completed by all first time borrowers

 

Master Promissory Note – completed by all borrowers
