Transportation & Parking
BU is a city campus and home to one of the best public transportation systems in the country. In fact, the Green Line trolley and an MBTA bus line run within a few hundred feet of BU Law, connecting it with Boston, Cambridge and neighboring communities. Having a car on campus is not encouraged - parking is scarce and very expensive.
Passes for the MBTA system of buses, trolleys, subways and trains can be purchased on a monthly basis and are a viable economic alternative to having a car on campus.
Boston University offers students the opportunity to purchase a Semester T-Pass through the BU Parking Office. The Semester T-Pass program allows students to pre-pay for September 1st through December 31st monthly "T" passes. By pre-paying for four monthly passes, students can save approximately 11% off the regular monthly "T" pass price and be assured that their pass will be reserved for them each month. To apply on-line, go to www.bu.edu/studentlink and select "MBTA Semester Pass" from the "Personal tab menu;" login using your Boston University login name and Kerberos password and follow the on-screen instructions. For more information about maps, parking and MBTA information, visit the BU Parking Office.
