Neal S. Winneg has been the chief legal officer of public and private companies over the last 20 years. He was most recently the general counsel and secretary of nToggle, Inc., a venture backed provider of programmatic digital advertising technology, through its sale to The Rubicon Project in 2017. Before that, he was executive vice president and general counsel of Jumptap, Inc., a leading mobile advertising platform company, through its sale to Millennial Media, Inc. Before that, Mr. Winneg was executive vice president, secretary, and general counsel of the Princeton Review, Inc., a publicly-traded test preparation and educational services company. Before that, he was senior vice president, secretary, and general counsel of Upromise, Inc., a marketing services and educational finance company, from its formation in early 2000 through its sale in 2007 to SLM Corporation (more commonly known as Sallie Mae). Before that, Mr. Winneg was senior vice president, secretary, and general counsel of The Learning Company, Inc., an NYSE listed developer and publisher of educational and other consumer software from 1994 until the company was acquired by Mattel, Inc. in 1999. Before moving in-house, Mr. Winneg started his career as a lawyer with Skadden, Arps, where he concentrated on corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions and venture and other financing. He has also been vice president and a director of Dimensional Foods Corporation, a start-up food technology company, and a past director of the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council. Mr. Winneg received a BA from Yale University and a JD from Boston University School of Law.
