Laura Rotolo, a Massachusetts ACLU Staff Attorney, will be discussing the "papers please" provision that was upheld by the Supreme Court and the impact of that portion of the decision. Shannon Erwin, the State Policy Director of the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA), will be discussing any similar "papers please" provisions being put forth in Massachusetts as well as the reaction of the immigration law community to the decision. Come hear about the real world effects of the decision! There will be presentations by both of these speakers followed by an informal Q and A session.
