Student Lecture Series

The Student Lecture Seires was launched in recgonition of the fact that many students in the Graduate Program in Banking and Financial Law have earned a wealth of experience in their professional lives prior to coming to BU Law. Students who have delivered outstanding lectures at BU Law may be invited to speak before the Boston Bar Association.

Past Student Lectures

Carol Lerma lectured on The Risk-Based Capital Adequacy Framework in the Philippine Stockbroking Industry. Ms. Lerma is Assistant Director of the Broker-Dealer Division of the Market Regulation Department of the Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission.

Yasuhisa Takatori, Associate, Tokyo Aoyama Law Office, and Ryuichi Nozaki, Associate, Atsumi & Partners, Tokyo, gave a lecture on Reforms in the Japanese Financial Market.

		Konrad Szelag gave a lecture entitled The Polish Banking System: An Overview. Mr. Szellag is Advisor to the Minister of Finance, Poland, and a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at Boston University.

Pedro Drummmond , Associate, Passos Law Firm, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, lectured on An Introduction to the Brazilian Consorcio.
