Lecturer in Law
Matthew Kleiman is corporate counsel at the Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Draper is a not-for-profit research and development organization that works with NASA, the Department of Defense and many other government agencies, as well as several commercial companies. Mr. Kleiman primarily supports Draper's Space Systems, Special Operations, Biomedical and Energy program offices on a wide variety of legal matters.
Mr. Kleiman serves on several national space law committees, including serving as chair of the Space Law Committee of the ABA Section on Science and Technology Law.
Prior to joining Draper, Mr. Kleiman was a senior associate at the law firm WilmerHale, where he served as outside general counsel to early-stage life science and technology companies, assisting clients with intellectual property licensing transactions and other corporate legal matters.
Mr. Kleiman earned his B.A. from Rutgers University and J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he was the editor-in-chief of the Duke Law and Technology Review.
