Steven Alexandre da Costa joined the Pappas Law Library in January, 2012 as the Legal Information and Digital Services Librarian. In this position he teaches intermediate legal research certification classes and legal research to students in the First Year Writing and the American Law L.L.M. programs. Previously he was a Law Library Fellow at the Cracchiolo Law Library at the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona from 2009 through 2011.

He has studied and clerked in Paris, France, and worked in Melbourne, Australia, for a large firm specializing in Employment and Labor law issues. His work experience also includes many years working as a union advocate and contract negotiator as well as extensive non-profit organizational work.

He is an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries. In 2013, Steven was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award for volunteering more than 500 hours in six years to the US Fund for UNICEF.
