Jeff Donohue joined Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Inc. ("NIBRI"), the research arm of the global healthcare products company Novartis, in January 2008. Since joining Novartis, Mr. Donohue has served as its Corporate Counsel, supporting NIBRI's Strategic Alliance function on drug research and development collaborations, academic consortia, licensing agreements, and strategic acquisitions. From 2004 to 2008, Mr. Donohue was a Corporate Counsel at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated, a biopharmaceutical company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At Vertex, Mr. Donohue worked on a wide range of subjects, including securities offerings, licensing transactions, and regulatory and commercialization matters. Before joining Vertex, Mr. Donohue was an associate at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP (now K&L Gates), where he specialized in venture capital, pharmaceutical collaborations, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Donohue received a JD from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from Brandeis University.
