James E. Scott is the director of the Graduate Program in Banking and Finacial Law. He has over thirty years of experience, working at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and many major financial institutions. Most recently Senior Advisor to Morgan Stanley, he was previously General Counsel, Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. and Chief Bank Regulatory Counsel. Prior to Morgan Stanley he was with Cadwallader, Wickersham & Taft, LLC, Citigroup, Venable Baetjer, Howard & Civiletti, LLP, Bankers Trust Company, Bank of America, Security Pacific National Bank and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He has many years of teaching experience, at university level and in the American Bar Associationís CLE programs. He teaches Banking Structure and Regulation.
