Mr. Morrissey is a member of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge’s Insolvency and Creditors’ Rights Group. Mr. Morrissey represents asset acquirers, financial institutions and other creditors in debt restructurings, workouts and bankruptcy cases. His practice encompasses all aspects of the bankruptcy process including contested and competing plan confirmation hearings, contested relief from stay and cash collateral hearings and fraudulent transfer and preference litigation. Mr. Morrissey also specializes in representing federal court receivers, bankruptcy trustees and defrauded investors in securities fraud insolvencies and hedge fund failures. In addition, he presently serves as a Hearing Committee Member for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers and as Co-Chair of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Practice Group. Mr. Morrissey teaches Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights.
