Mr. Butler is an associate in the Business Law Department at Goodwin Procter, and he is a member of the firm's Financial Services Group. He joined Goodwin in 2007. He works on a variety of transactional and regulatory matters for financial services clients, principally in the banking area, with particular emphasis on bank regulatory matters, financial institution mergers and acquisitions, and other financial institution-related corporate transactions. He has spoken on the Dodd-Frank Act, the Troubled Asset Relief Program, and financial markets regulatory reform to The American Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the Morin Center's The Buck Starts Here Workshop Series. While at BU Law he was executive editor of the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal.
