Faculty Procession:

Please arrive at the Fitness and Recreation Center, Lower Level by 8:00 a.m. for line-up. Faculty will line-up in the Multipurpose Rooms 3 & 4 on the lower level of the Fitness and Recreation Center. Enter via the main entrance of Fitness and Recreation Center. There will be directional signage and staff available for assistance. Light refreshments will be available in Multipurpose Rooms 3 & 4.

Student Procession Information:

Graduates are assembling in the North Storage Room at 8:00 a.m. The procession will move into the arena at 8:30 a.m., and Commencement begins at 9:00 a.m.


Immediately following the Law Convocation, there will be a Reception for Faculty in Multipurpose Room 3 & 4. There will also be a Reception for graduates, guests and faculty on the lower level gymnasium at the Fitness and Recreation Center.

All-University Commencement Information

Commencement activities begin on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with a Baccalaureate Service in Marsh Chapel. All-University Commencement begins at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are not required for admission to Nickerson Field.

The faculty procession will form in Claflin Hall, which can be reached via the walkway adjacent to 985 Commonwealth Avenue. Faculty are asked to arrive at Claflin Hall by 12:15 p.m. A secure space will be provided to leave personal items, and light refreshments will be served. University Marshals will be in place to assist the faculty and to direct the faculty procession onto Nickerson Field.


Parking & Public Transportation

Due to the anticipated traffic on Commonwealth Avenue during Commencement Weekend, you are urged to use public transportation. Check the MBTA site for maps and schedules, or use their trip planner.

Free shuttle service between Kenmore Square and the Track & Tennis Center will operate during the weekend. This Commencement Weekend shuttle will offer the most convenient method of transportation around campus.
