Marketing Your Organization

Many employers inquire about how they might better inform BU Law students of opportunities. You can gain name recognition with our students by participating in any of the following programs:

First-Year Mentor Program

Have your BU School of Law graduates sign up to be a mentor to a first-year student from January through December of each year. Mentor registration typically occurs in November with the annual Mentor Reception with students occurring in February. Click here for more information.

LSTAR Program

The Law Student Travel and Accommodations Reimbursement Program (LSTAR) is a national fundraising initiative that runs in conjunction with law school on-campus interviewing (OCI). If a law student stays with family or friends instead of in a hotel during a callback interview, the participating law firm agrees to donate $165 to that student's public interest funding organization. Many firms also donate $35 for students who are able to forego cab rides to and from the airport.   The Public Interest Project at BU Law has joined forces with the public interest organizations at Northwestern University, the University of Michigan and the University of Virginia to form the LSTAR Program.

LSTAR benefits both firms and students. By participating, law firms enjoy recognition for supporting public interest at law schools across the country.  Participating students enjoy the fact that they are making it possible for their classmates to provide legal services to those most in need of the energy, dedication and talent of Boston University law students.

We can also assist you in obtaining rooms for substantive presentations at the School of Law. For more information on scheduling an event, please see below.
