Experiential Education at BU Law
CLINICS, EXTERNSHIPS & SIMULATION COURSES
BU Law’s experiential education program provides a rich array of options for students to gain practical skills under the guidance of top legal practitioners. We offer three distinct types of experiential courses – clinics, externships, and simulations. Each experiential course integrates doctrine, theory, skills and legal ethics. Students engage in the performance of professional skills on which they get feedback and also engage in self-evaluation. Each of the courses counts towards the ABA’s 6- credit experiential learning requirement that begins with the class of 2019.
