Princeton Review rankings analysis names BU Law #5 law school in the nation

In an assessment of Princeton Review’s “Best 172 Law Schools” listing, TaxProf Blog ranks BU Law #5 overall.

In his research, blog author and Pepperdine University Law Professor Paul Caron focused on five of Princeton Review’s categories with reported scores in the 60-99 range. They include “Academic Experience;” “Admissions Selectivity;” “Career Preparation;” Professors: Accessible;” and “Professors: Interesting.” He then added the scores from these categories to determine the top 50 law schools.

Rather than ranking law schools overall, Princeton Review instead lists top law schools in 11 separate categories. Lists are based on Princeton Review's surveys of 18,000 students attending the 172 law schools profiled in the book. In this year’s edition, BU Law was named #1 in the nation for Best Professors; 8 for Best Classroom Experience; and 10 for Best Career Prospects.
