Logos & Graphic Standards
A message from Dean O'Rourke
The look and feel of our brochures, Web sites and other communications say almost as much about our school as the content. They serve as a visual indication to others of what we believe Boston University School of Law to be. Granted, no logo, symbol or typeface can tell the full story of our school. But we have worked hard to make sure our new visual identity helps convey our “personality”, resources, aspirations and style of operation.
Our goals were clear in this process: to increase the name awareness of BU Law, correct misperceptions in the marketplace and highlight the best of our school. Image development and brand identity are heavily dependent upon consistency of message and style in the marketplace. Therefore, it is very important that you follow these graphic standards. Please keep this manual handy and refer to it when you are developing materials about BU Law, including materials for the BU Law Web site. If you have questions, please feel free to consult the Communications and Marketing Department.
