Richard A. Karelitz (J.D. ’74, LL.M. ’77) Appointed to MHA Trustees Advisory Council

New England Patriots General Counsel Richard A. Karelitz (J.D. ’74, LL.M. ’77) was appointed to the Trustees Advisory Council by the Massachusetts Hospital Association Board of Trustees. The MHA is a voluntary, nonprofit organization comprised of hospitals and health systems, related organizations and other members with a common interest in promoting the health of the people of the Commonwealth. Karelitz serves as a trustee at Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA.

Karelitz is the general counsel to The Kraft Group, which includes the New England Patriots, New England Revolution, Gillette Stadium and the International Forest Products Corporation. He also is a member of the board of directors and chairman of the audit committee of Carmel Container Systems in Israel. An active community volunteer, Karelitz serves as president-elect of the Executive Committee of Boston University School of Law and is a member of both the Massachusetts and U.S. Supreme Court bars. In 2005, he was the recipient of Boston University’s Silver Shingle Alumni Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession.
