ExamSoft Introduction
BU Law offers students the option of using their personal laptops for in-class exams if they have a laptop that meets the required specifications. Students who elect this option use software called SofTest from the company ExamSoft Worldwide. The software blocks access to all applications and stored files during the exam administration, and blocks access to the Internet and instant messenger. Over 135 law schools in the U.S. and Canada and over 30 state bars are using SofTest with excellent results.
Although there is a charge for the SofTest software, the Law School will absorb the cost so that there will be no charge to our students.
