Student Activities

Throughout the academic year students participate in a rich academic environment strengthened by such activities as “brown bag lunch” discussion seminars, enjoy social events with fellow Banking and Financial Law students as well as shared activities with students in BU Law’s other LL.M. programs.

Student lectures during have included presentations on risk-based capital adequacy framework in the Philippines, reforms in the Japanese financial market, an overview of the Polish banking system, and an introduction to the Brazilian Consorcio.

The academic environment is further enriched by access to a broad array
of conferences, shorter programs and guest lecturers, including the Edward Lane- Reticker Speaker Series.

Social activities include receptions, baseball games, bowling, a “pot luck” dinner and a ski trip.

Fifty-five students from all of BU Law's LL.M. programs braved the cold weather for a ski trip to Mt. Sunapee. A great time was had by all!
