Legal Writing Fellows
Each First Year Writing Seminar has one Legal Writing Fellow who attends each weekly seminar meeting and meets with the students regularly to discuss each assignment.
Being a Legal Writing Fellow is an excellent way to strengthen one’s writing and research skills. Legal Writing Fellows help the instructors to develop and update research and writing assignments, and to write sample answers.
Apply to be a Legal Writing Fellow
To apply for a position, students should complete an application form, available in the Writing Program Office (Room 752) and submit a writing sample. The Director of the First Year Writing Program will interview each applicant and accepted students will register for the Program during regular course registration in the spring. Both first and second year students may apply, but second year students will receive preference. Legal Writing Fellows receive two credits per semester.
