Program Requirements

The Health Sector Management Program allows dual degree students to apply some BU Law courses applicable to Health Care toward the M.B.A (with the School of Management's consent). Students also may apply to the J.D. degree up to 12 credits of graduate-level work taken at the BU Graduate School of Management. The remaining requirements for the M.B.A. in Health Sector Management consist of basic M.B.A. courses plus specific Health Sector Management courses.

NOTE: Due to ABA accreditation requirements, the number of credits for a GSM course that may be applied to the J.D. degree may vary from what the Graduate School of Management offers for that course. Please check with the Law Registrar's Office to determine how many LAW credits will apply to a GSM course.

The required School of Management courses include instruction in managing organizations and people; financial reporting and control; marketing; data analysis; financial management; economics and management decisions; operations and technology; IT strategies; competition, innovation and strategy; executive communications; career development; business law and ethics; and relevant health sector courses.
