International Law

Increasingly in today’s economy, attorneys in both the public and private sectors represent clients in the international arena. To be effective in this field, an attorney must understand the political, economic, business and legal environments of foreign countries as well as those of the United States. BU Law's Concentration in International Law allows the student to study international law at an advanced level, acquiring sophisticated knowledge of the international sphere while developing an in-depth knowledge of American law as it works in the global environment.

Students may also enhance their study of international law by taking advantage of one of our 15 Study Abroad programs, pursuing a dual degree in Law and International Relations (J.D./M.A.), or joining the Boston University International Law Journal, Clinical Program in Civil Litigation or International Law Society.
