Employment Rights Clinic (ERC)

 

Coursework - Fall Semester Students

Fall semester students receive a total of 6 credits for fieldwork and course work:

  • Three graded credits for the field component.
  • Three graded credits for course work:
    • Pretrial Advocacy: Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiating. This class satisfies BU Law's Professional Responsibility requirement.
    • A "boot camp" in Trial Advocacy.

Prerequisites - Students must have already taken Evidence or students must take this class concurrently with the ERC.

Coursework - Spring Semester Students

Spring semester students receive a total of 6 credits for fieldwork and course work:

  • Three graded credits for the field component.
  • Three graded credits for course work:
    • Trial Advocacy. This class is specifically designed for students in the Civil Litigation Program.
    • A "boot camp" in Pre-Trial Advocacy.

Pre-/corequisites - Spring semester students must have already taken both Evidence and Professional Responsibility or students must take these classes concurrently with the ERC.
