JD/LLM in International and European Business Law (ICADE), Madrid, Spain

Full-Year Option (English-Language Instruction)

In addition to the single-semester program, BU Law students have a unique opportunity to spend their entire third year enrolled as LLM students at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas de Madrid (ICADE ) in the school’s LLM in International and European Business Law program. After the completion of one year in Madrid, students will receive the BU JD and an LLM in International and European Business Law from ICADE.

Students in the program complete a full year of study at ICADE. The structured program—borne out of ICADE’s worldwide reputation for business studies—focuses on the institutional framework for EU business affairs, EU and international business regulation, EU market regulation and international and EU legal practice and enforcement.

The program focuses on the institutional framework for EU business affairs, EU and international business regulation, EU market regulation, and international and EU legal practice and enforcement. The program aims to educate and prepare highly skilled legal professionals to fully understand the rules governing international business and the internal EU market.

This program is academically rigorous; thus, only 2L students with a record of academic achievement will be considered. No more than two BU Law students can participate in any given year.

This program is available to qualified 3L students and instruction is offered entirely in English.
