Notes

Small Classrooms; Crestron Black

Each of the small classrooms (532, 734, 832, 1434, and 1470A-B-C) is considered a Crestron Black system. They have the following capabilities:

• Projector, Electronically Controlled Screen, Program Audio
• VHS/DVD playback, controls on Button Panel
• VGA connection for Laptop, 1/8" Headphone audio input
  • Laptops's VGA output must be active before switching, else, projector won't find the signal and will keep cycling through inputs.
• Desktop computer is on Active Directory (AD) domain, so users can log in as themselves to access their shared drives.
• In-ceiling microphone that goes to AV office's Cubase recording system
• No wireless mic system, or XLR input. Can use LT's audio input, though.

Large Classrooms; Crestron White

Each of the large classrooms (520, 570, 620, 820, 870, 1420, and 1570) is considered a Crestron White system, and they have the following capabilities:

• Projector, Electronically Controlled Screen, Program Audio
• VHS/DVD playback, controls on Button Panel
• VGA and HDMI connection for Laptop,1/8" Headphone audio input
• Desktop computer is on Active Directory (AD) domain, so users can log in as themselves to access their shared drives.
• In-ceiling microphone that goes to AV office's Cubase recording system
• Wireless microphone system in place, but mics are in AV office, available upon request.

Special Rooms

Each of the following rooms is unique in that they don't have other rooms with the same installed equipment.

920A	42" LCD with VGA and 1/8" audio input in wall near door
920B	See 920B Room Equipment.pdf for details on operating the system. Features: DVD player Laptop VGA input with 1/8" Headphone audio input Composite, Component, and S-Video inputs Projector, Electronically Controlled Screen, Program Audio No Wireless Mic
10th floor Faculty Lounge	Two 50" Plasma displays with VGA and 1/8" audio input that feeds both. That is, one laptop can output to both monitors simultaneously. Remote controller for displays held in AV office. Remote is stubby, Sharp branded.
1270 & Barrister's Hall	Room 1270 has no audiovisual equipment in it, and doesn't have enough electrical outlets in it. You'll need to bring in extension cables, multiple if a projector is requested. Because the room has windows on 3 walls, it gets very bright, so draw the shades to liven up the projected image. The room is very echo-prone, so set the speakers of a PA in front of the microphone, and out wide. This extra space will give you some more 'headroom' with the volume.
Law Auditorium	Crestron Touchpanel located in the control room down near the podium. What happens at one will happen at the other. Projector AV inputs VGA HDMI Component Composite DVD Podium, Wireless handheld and Lavaliere microphones 5 microphone inputs at the stage. Microphones available upon request.
