Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the 3L Class Gift?
- Why does the School need our contributions?
- How can I make my contribution?
- What is the goal of the 3L 2009 Class Gift Program?
A: The 3L Class Gift is a collective contribution made by a graduating 3L class. The Class Gift Committee helps coordinate the gift-giving program.
Q: Why does the School need our contributions?
A: In order to maintain and improve its competitive position, the School relies on the ongoing investment of its alumni. While many of our alumni have been generous, we need to continue to communicate to our current students and recent graduates the need to invest in the ongoing value of their degrees. Compared to its competition, BU Law has a relatively low endowment. This means that the School is more dependent on tuition and alumni support than other schools. Gifts of any size help make the 3L class gift program a success.
Q: How can I make my contribution?
A: The easiest way to make a gift is to contribute online. You can also call the Esdaile Alumni Center at 617-353-3118 or stop by their office on the 4th Floor of the Tower. Also keep an eye out for Committee members who we be at the tables in the lobby throughout the year. Regardless of how you make a gift, any gift given to BU Law by a member of the 3L class will count towards the 2010 Class Gift.
