Corporate, Business & Transactional Law Courses

Corporate, business, and transactional law pertains to the organization and governance of, transactions and other activities engaged in by, and the regulation of, business entities. This area of legal study covers a wide range of subject matters, including, among others, accounting, antitrust, bankruptcy, finance, mergers & acquisitions, transactions in particular industry segments, securities regulation, and taxation. The Foundational and Related Doctrinal courses listed below reflect the breadth of this area of legal study. The Transactional Practice, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Courses complement these extensive doctrinal offerings by focusing on building transactional practice and analytical skills, such as drafting contracts, evaluating business agreements, and negotiating business transactions, that employers increasingly expect new attorneys to have as they begin their practice careers. BU Law offers a Transactional Practice Concentration. Please note that some courses are not offered every year.
