Maria Netto is Lead Financial Markets and Financial Institutions Specialist in the IDB department of Capital Markets and Financial Institutions where she is responsible for supporting local financial institutions in the LAC region to develop green finance strategies. Previously Ms. Netto worked in IDB overseeing work on carbon finance and adaptation. Before joining IDB, she was senior Climate Change Policy Advisor at UNDP responsible for policy and strategy development for integrating climate change in UNDP operations and for overseeing a global project to support 20 countries to assess investment and financial flows and policy options to address climate change across different sectors and economic activities.
