CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research
CanChild is a research center affiliated with McMaster University that aims to improve the lives of children with physical, developmental, and communication disabilities and their families.  Research is conducted by interdisciplinary teams that include occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language pathology, social psychology, pediatrics, epidemiology, and biostatistics.  The center makes this information available in order to improve service delivery and policies.

Institute for Family-Centered Care
The Institute for Family-Centered Care seeks to foster collaborative relationships between patients, families, and healthcare professionals through providing training at a variety of organizations.  Additionally, the Institute serves as a resource center for families, healthcare providers, administrators, and other professionals wishing to promote family-centered care.

Beach Center on Disability
The Beach Center on Disability is a research center affiliated with the University of Kansas that emphasizes partnerships between families and researchers.  The Center aims to improve the quality of life of children with disabilities and their families through service and research.  The Center website provides information about family-research partnerships and government policies related to disabilities as well as resources such as publications and presentations by Center staff.

Portland Research and Training Center
The Portland Research and Training Center, affiliated with Portland State University, seeks to improve service for children with mental, behavioral, and emotional disorders.  The Center focuses on services that are community-based, family-centered, and culturally competent and works to promote partnerships between families, providers, and policy makers.  Publications, links, and other useful resources for children with mental health impairments and their families are available on the website.
