Participating in this Study

What is this research project about?

The purpose of this research project is to test a measure of adaptive behavior, called the PEDI-CAT, with parents and caregivers (legal guardians) of children and youth with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) ages 3-21 years. The goal is to develop an efficient and comprehensive assessment of adaptive behavior of children and youth with an ASD. Your responses will help us create a shorter, computer-based assessment that would be individualized to each child.

Parents of children and youth with ASDs who are interested in participating in research to validate this measure are invited to email us at or call us at 617-353-7492

This study is being conducted by Wendy Coster, PI, at Boston University and funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute Of Child Health & Human Development,  Award Number R21HD065281.
