MendilloProfessor Mendillo has taught the freshmen seminar “The Pluto Saga: How do you become and stay a planet?” in the Kilachand Honors College. Part of Professor Mendillo’s research brought him to the International Symposium on Planetary Science at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan. His trip was marred by the devastating earthquakes and tsunami. While he was able to make it home safely, the event left a lasting impression on him and inspired him to write An Earthquake, A Tsunami and a Meaningful Life about his life-changing experience. The proceeds of this book will be donated to the American Red Cross Japan Fund and is available for purchase on Amazon.
