Diane Bensel completed her BS in International Agricultural Economics at the University of Vermont in 1996. She has since spent her time organic farming and working for various educational non-profits, as a program, project, and events manager. Michael Zank completed his PhD in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies at Brandeis University in 1994, the same year he joined the Boston University faculty. His research interests include modern Jewish thought and German-Jewish intellectual history. His classes range from the Bible to the modern critique of religion. Currently he is working on a book on Jerusalem and why Jews, Christians, and Muslims regard it as a holy city. Professor Zank blogs about Jerusalem at http://unholycity.blogspot.com.
