Writing History in the First Person
On October 17, Ivan Jablonka, Professor at the University of Paris XIII and author of the prize-winning Histoire des grands-parents que je n’ai pas eus spoke (in English) on History and the First-Person Singular A Holocaust Meditation. This event, organized by Prof. Mehlman in conjunction with Romance Studies, was co-sponsored by The Elie Wiesel Center for Judaic Studies, The Center for the Study of Europe, and Cultural Services of the French Consulate.
