Advertising Rates
The Journal of Field Archaeology, published quarterly by Boston
University, is an international, refereed quarterly serving the
interests of archaeologists, anthropologists, historians, scientists,
and others concerned with the recovery and interpretation of
archaeological data. Its scope is worldwide and is not confined to
any particular time period.
The Journal of Field Archaeology publishes:

archaeological field reports from all parts of the world

studies of the historical development of archaeology as a
scientific discipline

technical and methodological analyses pertaining to field
and laboratory work

reports on efforts to stem the illicit traffic in antiquities
-
"Book Reviews" publishes evaluations of new and significant
works in archaeology

"Publications" lists all books submitted for review, with a
capsule comment on each title
-
"Perspectives" contains letters from our readers on topics of
archaeological concern
The Journal has a readership of:

field archaeologists, anthropologists, and historians concerned with
the study of archaeological data

natural and physical scientists, art historians, social
anthropologists, and conservators who are analyzing information
recovered through interdisciplinary efforts
-
classicists and ethnologists who stay abreast of archaeological
developments

students and others interested in the study and protection of
antiquities
The Journal accepts advertisements of:

books, journals, and other publications
-
educational tours and services
-
field schools and related activities
-
conferences, symposia, and meetings
-
archaeological services and equipment
The Journal does not accept advertising from dealers in antiquities.
Publication Schedule
Since our production schedule is not as firm as we would like for it to
be, owing to seasonal shifts in staffing, our policy is to place
advertisements into the next to go to the printer.
In theory, our deadlines are as follow:
Space reservations:
Spring (March) issue: November 1 of preceding year
Summer (June) issue: February 1
Fall (September) issue: May 1
Winter (December) issue: August 1
Photoready copy or pdf files must be received in our offices by the
following dates:
Spring issue: December 2 of preceding year
Summer issue: March 2
Fall issue: June 2
Winter issue: September 2

Agency Commission: 15%
The Journal offers, at cost, design and typesetting services for
advertisements. Please inquire for rates and deadlines for these
