National Patterns of Antiquities Retrieval: the Case for Greek Coin Hoards
Journal of Field Archaeology 7 (1980) 455--460

Statistical evaluation of the pattern of reporting Greek coin hoards implies that some nations are having more success at recovering and reporting hoards than others. This analysis indicates that it is possible to look at the problem of clandestine archaeology on more than a case-by-case basis.
