  • Ends: 5:15 pm on Wednesday, March 24, 2021
David Tollerton (University of Exeter) will offer a broad survey of 21st century Holocaust memory in British public life. A particular focal point will be the new memorial project in central London and the ways in which its development has reflected Britain’s religious-secular landscape.

Part of the Encounters with Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies series. The Encounters series invites Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies scholars to share their latest research. The aim of Encounters is to facilitate a conversation across disciplines and to broaden the understanding of genocidal and violent events in modern and contemporary politics. Each year, Encounters will have a different focus. This year's theme is "The Politics of Genocide."
