Working
in the U.S.
Part of
the Spring 2007
Employment Workshop Series
Come join us for a two-part program designed to help
you with the job search process in the U.S.
Refreshments will be served between the two sessions.
Interviewing in the United States:
An Experiential Workshop
Tuesday, February 20th
4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
19 Deerfield Street, 3rd Floor
Learn how to sharpen your interviewing techniques by bringing your
international identity to the table. We will help you familiarize
yourself with the intricacies of the U.S. interview process while
learning how to best assess your skills and international experience
to answer "difficult" interview questions such as:
Do you need company sponsorship?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Tell me about yourself?
While these questions may seem simple, they are really multi-layered.
Come to the workshop to develop well-informed answers that will
lead to more dynamic interviews.
Working in the United States: A Panel Discussion
Tuesday, February 20th
6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
19 Deerfield Street, 3rd Floor
Ask your peers your most burning questions about interviewing in
the U.S. and the research strategies they used to find their current
jobs. The panel includes successful Boston University international
students currently in the U.S. workforce who have been authorized
for Optional Practical Training (OPT) or H-1B (employment-based
visa category).
We hope to see you there!
