Are You

Safe, Settled and Healthy?

As a result of the new requirement, implemented in Fall 2007, that every student provide an emergency contact phone number, and stricter enforcement of the state immunization requirments, Boston University is asking all students, "Are you Safe, Settled and Healthy?" to be sure that everyone is in compliance with state and University rules.  What does Safe, Settled and Healthy mean?

Safe = Have you entered an emergency contact phone number in the Student Link?
This number will be used by the BU Alert system to contact you in emergency situations.  You can provide the number by clicking on "Update Campus Emergency Phone" in the Student Link.

Settled = Have you settled your Student Account? (Have you paid your tuition and fees?) You can check your account information by clicking on the "Money Matters" tab in the Student Link.

Healthy = Have you met the Massachusetts state immunization requirements?
You must prove that you have received all vaccinations required by state law.  Click here to review the requirements outlined on the Student Health Services web site.

Students who do not comply with these requirements will not be permitted to register for the following semester.

A special page has been added to the the Student Link so you can check to see if you are in compliance with the Safe, Settled and Healthy requirements.  Go to the Student Link, click on "Personal Tab " , then on "Compliance Status" as illustrated below.
