Officials from the U.S. Department of State
will offer a presentation about U.S. visa policy
at BU on March 25, 2005
Boston University is pleased to host two high-ranking officials from the Bureau of Consular Affairs at the United States Department of State who will offer a presentation about U.S. visa policy.
Ms. Janice L. Jacobs, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Visa Services, and Mr. Steve Maloney, Deputy Director of the Office of Public Affairs and Policy Coordination, will address an audience of international students and scholars, Boston University faculty and administrators as well as international educational professionals from local institutions. The presentation will highlight the U.S. visa application process in an effort to reinforce the importance that the Department of State attaches to international exchange. They will provide facts about visa issuance and share news about recent improvements in visa application and security clearance procedures.
