Checklist of Documents Required for ISSO Processing

Please use the following checklist when collecting documents and information from your admitted international students.

• ISSO Admissions Coversheet
• International Student Data Form OR International Application Coversheet
• Financial documents (ISSO reserves the right to request originals)
  • Bank document in English, on bank letterhead, dated within a year from program start date
  • Letter of sponsorship (if applicable)
  • Letter explaining the terms of any financial assistance from BU (if applicable)
• Copy of letter of admission
• English language proficiency documentation (if student did not obtain a degree at an English speaking institution)
  • Copy of paper TOEFL/IELTS score report (if scores are not received electronically or if scores are below required minimum)
  • Letter from department waiving the English language proficiency requirement (if applicable)
• Copy of passport data including expiration date (copy of dependent(s) passport(s) if applicable)
• Copies of all previous U.S. immigration documents (if applicable)
