From Associate Provost
It is a pleasure to welcome you to Boston University, one of North America's most international universities. Even in Boston, a city with over 50 academic institutions and a distinctly cosmopolitan flavor, Boston University stands out as a truly international campus. With nearly 4,500 international students, over 1,100 international scholars, and approximately 1,200 participants in the Center for English Language and Orientation Programs (CELOP), international students represent 16 percent of the campus community, one of the largest percentages in the country.
There is a long history of international student and scholar interest in Boston University. Applicants from many countries around the world are attracted to the range and quality of the University's graduate and undergraduate programs. The International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) looks forward to working with you to make your stay at Boston University one of the most productive and fulfilling experiences of your academic career.
