Graduate education at Boston University reflects the quality of the faculty, the strength of its research programs and facilities, as well as the historical and cultural advantages of our location in Boston. Despite the significant size and diversity of the Graduate School, emphasis is on the individual graduate student, beginning with the proper match among interests, programs, and faculty advisors, and continuing with sustained concern for the student's development as a scholar, researcher, practitioner, and teacher. The graduate programs in International Relations are designed to educate and train the next generation of academics and professionals. Students will find that our programs offer a great deal of flexibility for their particular interests and needs.
The Department of International Relations at Boston University
offers six Master of Arts programs through the Graduate School of
Arts and Sciences. Students can choose from the one year degree
program, three joint degree programs with the Center for Energy
and Environmental Sciences, the College of Communication, or the
Department of Religion, and two dual degree programs with the School
of Law or the Graduate School of Management.
