International Relations Faculty

Our faculty are this Department’s greatest strength. We have attracted scholars and practitioners from many areas of study, and from a variety of countries. They provide students with a rich and broad base of resources.

On the practitioner side, our faculty include two former ambassadors, an international lawyer, and a long-time employee of the Central Intelligence Agency, among others. Faculty members from more traditional academic backgrounds are among the most respected in their various fields, and many have significant policy experience as well. The expertise of the faculty spans a variety of functional specialties – including diplomatic and international history, security studies, political economy, environmental policy, law, and anthropology – as well as regional specialties that cover the globe.
