Global Economic Governance Initiative:

A research program of the Center for International Relations and the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future

Mission: The mission of the Global Economic Governance Initiative is to advance an empirically based understanding of the development process in order to draw out lessons for scholars and policy-makers engaged in global economic governance. The project fulfills its mission through research, education, and outreach.

Activities: The project conducts research on the impact of trade and integration policy on the economic, social, environmental, and political aspects of longer-run development. The project will disseminate its results to scholars, students, and policy-makers through:

  • the publication of books and articles;
  • conferences, a speaker’s series, and workshops;
  • hosting visiting scholars;
  • briefings to and dialogues with members of the private sector and policy-makers;
  • the provision of advice and outreach to the policy-making community.
