New for Summer 2010!

Summer Semester: May 31 – July 25, 2010

Intensive Arabic language study and a hands-on introduction to Moroccan and North African culture through service learning—this is the Rabat Arabic Language and Service Learning Program. Through language study and a volunteer partnership with a host organization working on education, healthcare, children’s welfare, women’s rights and other critical issues, this program will give you a unique immersion in the life and society of this fascinating city, country and region. This program is ideal for a student with only one or two semesters of Arabic. Upon successful completion of this program you will earn 8 Boston University credits.

Host Institution

The Center for Cross Cultural Learning (CCCL) is a private cultural institution founded and directed by Moroccan academics with many years of experience in cross-cultural education. Courses in Fus’ha (modern Arabic) are taught by experienced instructors trained specifically to teach Arabic as a second language. The CCCL is located in a nineteenth-century building in the medina (old city) of Rabat. For more information on the CCCL, please visit www.cccl.ma.
