Rome Fall Semester: early September to mid-December Boston University students with a serious interest in Classics have an opportunity to study for a semester at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome (ICCS), The ICCS was established in 1965 by representatives of ten American colleges and universities; the number of member institutions has now grown to 90. It provides undergraduate students with an opportunity in Rome to study ancient history and archaeology, Greek and Latin literature, and ancient art. Upon completion of a semester, students earn 16 to 20 Boston University credits. For more information about the ICCS, go to the ICCS website.
Sicily Fall Semester: early September to mid-December In 2008, ICCS opened its second classical studies program, ICCS Sicily. This new program complements the existing ICCS program in Rome and builds on its sucess to offer students a different and broader introduction into the ancient world. The focus, as in the original program in Rome, will be on classical languages as well as on local manifestations of history and civilization in the ancient Mediterranean world. For more information about the ICCS, go to the ICCS website.
