Students have the opportunity to spend a semester or an academic year directly enrolled at the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi (The Bocconi University or UNI-BOCCONI) in Milan, Italy. Founded in 1902, Bocconi University was the first Italian university to grant degrees in economics and is internationally recognized as a leader in the fields of economics, business, and law. Students can choose from a wide range of business and economics courses offered in English. Students have the opportunity to take an intensive three to four week Italian language course before the beginning of the Bocconi semester. This non-credit course is offered at the beginning, intermediate, post-intermediate and advanced levels. Website: www.unibocconi.it

Housing
Students can arrange to stay in Bocconi residence halls. Most accommodations include access to a shared or community kitchen.

Admissions Requirements

  • • Boston University students only
  • • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • • Preference given to graduate students and advanced undergraduates in economics

Fall Semester: mid September to late December
Spring Semester: January 25th to June 30th, 2010
Academic Year: mid September to mid July

Admissions Calendar
Review of applications will begin according to the following timetable.

Program Cost
2009/2010 Tuition: $18,955 per semester. Cost includes tuition and emergency travel assistance coverage. Participants pay separately for housing, board, and airfare.

Additional expenses to consider.

The cost for 2010/2011 has not yet been announced and will be subject to approval by the Board of Trustees at Boston University.
