Dublin Engineering Program

Dublin City University

Students in the Dublin Engineering Program will enroll directly in Dublin City University, a modern and fast-growing university just north of the city center of Dublin, Ireland. www.dcu.ie.

Students enrolled in this program will choose three engineering courses and one elective course offered by BU’s Dublin Internship Program (The Arts in Ireland or Modern Irish Literature). Students are housed in double bedrooms in suite-style accommodations on the Dublin City University Campus. Each bedroom is equipped with Internet access and its own bathroom. Students have full access to the facilities and services of Dublin City University.

Application Deadline

Fall Semester: March 15

Requirements

• Minimum 3.0 GPA (in major and overall)
• Junior standing in the Boston University College of Engineering
• Many courses carry prerequisites
• Students must follow the College of Engineering's instructions for juniors applying to study abroad, complete the Engineering course substitution form and return to the ENG Undergraduate Records Office
• All students must complete the 16-credit program

Program Dates

Fall Semester: September 17th to December 29th, 2009 (final exams taken in January, in Boston)

Program Cost

Fall 2009 Tuition and Fees: $22,810

The following are included in the program fee:
• Tuition
• Housing
• Airfare from designated US cities
• Emergency travel assistance coverage

Additional expenses to consider.

The cost for 2010/2011 has not yet been announced and will be subject to approval by the Board of Trustees at Boston University.
